More elf stuff

Since I’m done with Janet Snakehole, I went back to work on the Aelsa costume!

I picked up some stretch satin last weekend and got my gloves made this week. I did some decorative embroidery stitch from one of the sewing machines along the front part, and some beading along the front edge. I just need to add the finger loop.
I’m debating on dyeing them. They should be like a pale, pale gold or like a champagne colour… Chase thought keeping them white would look better, which is what I’ve done. But now I’m thinking about just tossing them in a very very very light yellow dye. I dunno. I’ll have to see how the whole thing looks on together.

Anyway. I don’t have pics of that so it’s not interesting.

I worked on the wig again. My wefts for the braids came in so I got them sewn in and braided up the front… but I think I may need to go back and add some filler to the wefts to make the braids look even chunkier. Just the wefts themselves weren’t enough (which is what I was hoping for).

Figuring out how I want to do the braids. Decided i needed some extra wefts in there for thickness.

So that’s something I can play with this weekend.

I’ve also got my horns, and started painting them:

Painting the horns for the Aelsa costume. White with some gold in the center.

Now to figure out the best way to sew them into the wig. I don’t want to mess with a headband or anything. I want them IN there and not moving. LOL

And we finally got started on my chest armor:

Heat-forming a sheet of plastic on our little vac table. This will get cut out, finished, and painted.

I drew the cut lines on last night, hoping to have it done soon as well.
